
Shrimp is the most favorite non-veg item next to Chicken, Mutton, and Fish. Many of us think that cooking shrimp is time-consuming and hard to cook. It’s not true. Below are the simple steps to cook and enjoy the mouth-watering Shrimp curry.
Ingredients
Fresh Shrimp – 1 cup
Onion – 1
Tomato – 1
Fennel seeds – 2tsp
Green chilli – 2
Ginger and garlic paste – 1 spoon
Turmeric powder – ΒΌ tsp
Chilli powder – 2 tsp
Coriander powder – 2tsp
Curry leaves (optional)
Oil for seasoning
Salt for taste.
Steps
Clean the shrimp properly. Usually shell will be there in the tail when buying from the market. Put the shrimp in hot water for 2 to 3 minutes. Later, we can remove the shell easily.
Heat 3 tsp of oil in a pan. Once the oil is hot, add fennel seeds.

Once the fennel seeds turn golden color, add chopped onion and green chili and fry them.

Once the onion becomes translucent, add the ginger garlic paste. Instead of using the ready-made paste, if we make it self with fresh ginger and garlic, the Curry will be more tasty.

Fry it until the raw smell of ginger, garlic goes out.
Add Turmeric, chili, and coriander powder and stir it.

Then add chopped tomato and stir it. Once the tomato becomes mushy, add cleaned shrimp and stir them.


This is the right time to add enough salt based on our taste.

Keep frying it for 2 to 3 minutes. Then add 1 cup of water, and cook the shrimp for 10 minutes.

Now tasty Shrimp curry is ready to serve with your favorite main course.
