Mohan Sepla, owner of Everest Kitchen CHUBBUCK IDAHO, is giving local residence a chance to to get an early start on their holiday dining, and with an Indian flair.

Everest Kitchen, located at 133 W. Burnside Ave, CHUBBUCK, will host a free Indian meal from 12.p.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving.
“That way we can thank the local community,” Sepla said.
All meals will be served in to-go boxes. Sepla said there’s no need to call and place an order. Cory Hillman, owner of Golden Nugget bar, will be giving away free to-go soda and water to accompany the meals.
Rather than serving a traditional turkey dinner, he’ll be offering either chicken or vegetarian Indian dishes. Sepla plans to prepare 100 meals.
Sepla purchased Travelodge in April 2016 and opened the restaurant last May 2018. He serves Indian and Nepali food and has hired a chef with more than 35 years of experience.
Sepla said he plans to evaluate how his first free dinner for the community goes, but he hopes it will become an annual tradition.
“Next year, maybe there will be more people and more food,” Sepla said.
