It is boring to take fried snacks or biscuits everyday at the evening. For a change lets make Moong dal sundal for Today’s snack. It is a childhood snack we frequently take. Also, it is one of the village home made snack.
Green gram – 1 cupOne onion -1
green chilli – 4
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 1 spring
Oil for seasoning
Salt for taste
Wash the Moong dal and pressure cook for 2 whistles along with 2 cups of water and a little salt.
Switch off the flame after two whistles and cool down.
Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan. Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds and urad dal.
Once mustard starts spluttering, add chopped green chilli and fry it.
Add chopped onion once you feel the spicy flavor of the green chilli.
Add curry leaves and fry them.
Add this mix to the cooked Moong dal.
Now the tasty and healthy Moong dal Sundal is ready to serve.
