We used to refer to king coconut for mentioning a color. It's a kind of orange in color.

As with any fruit or vegetable, the color signals the health benefits. A King coconut is orange due to a compound called carotenoids. Carotenoids can improve immune function and lower risks for heart disease, vision problems, and cancer. Folate, Potassium, Bromium, and Vitamin C are also found in the orange nut. The King coconut also has a higher volume of water than other coconuts and is often harvested to make coconut water. Additionally, the water is full of refreshing electrolytes while also having a natural sweetness due to sucrose and fructose.

Sri Lanka exports tens of thousands of coconut water annually.

Our fielders are involved in various business ventures. They may also be involved in the export of coconut water. The coconut water export here does not refer to processed tin cans. I am meaning the whole coconut water.

It is essential to use the appropriate technology for export on the below important points.
  • Plucking or harvesting at the right season.
  • Proper maintenance. That is, to ensure that the skin of the young coconut is not shrunk by dehydration.
  • Wax coating or polythene rolling. Many of us are aware of the wax coating applied to the Cassava. It's like the same process.
  • Keep the container at a suitable temperature and humidity
In the West, people are tired of artificial and seek nature drinks. In our homeland, we are immersed in colas and getting away from natural drinks. If we rethink we can change our lifestyle. That is very important now.
